What is a kitchen display system?
A KDS replaces printed kitchen tickets with a screen. Orders arrive from the POS in real time, are routed to the station that prepares them, and are marked ready with a tap — which notifies the floor immediately.

Paper tickets do not tell you which station is drowning. The RestroNivo KDS routes each item to the station that cooks it, shows how long every ticket has been waiting, and tells the floor the moment a dish is ready.
What it does
- Per-station routing — Map menu categories to cooking stations so the grill sees grill items and the bar sees drinks.
- Live timers — Every ticket shows its age, so the longest wait is always the most visible thing on the screen.
- Bump to ready — One tap moves a ticket to ready and notifies the waiter who owns the order — no shouting across the pass.
- Recook tracking — Send an item back with a reason. The recook is recorded against the ticket rather than lost.
- History by date — Step back through any previous service to see exactly what was fired and when.

Can different stations see different items?
Yes. Menu categories are mapped to cooking stations, so each screen shows only the items that station prepares. A single screen can also show everything.
Does the waiter know when food is ready?
Yes. Bumping a ticket to ready sends a real-time notification to the waiter who took the order, and to the guest queue display if one is running.
